Painted Color Ceramics is mixing up their clay from Low Fire to High Fire in this one of a kind Stoneware Nesting Bowl Workshop. You will learn to create color combos and see how the kiln makes the colors flow together. This design is stunning and will surprise you every time!

This workshop is Fantastic for BEGINNER ceramic artist and glazers! We recommend ages 14 to adult only!

The fantastic thing about Stoneware glazing is "The More Messy it is: the More Beautiful it is!"

Seating is LIMITED to 8 due to Covid. Masks Will be Required. Non Alcoholic Event.

Workshop Includes:

ONE 8.5" Stoneware Nesting Bowl

Use of  glazes to create this design

Step By Step Certified Instruction

Setup and Cleanup of area

Use of Towel, Paint Plate, Water with Changes, Brushes and Supplies

Kiln Firing (Bowl will be ready to Pick up within 1-2 WEEKS after event)

PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT CARRY STONEWARE IN OUR STUDIO. THIS CLAY IS HARDER CLAY THAN WHAT WE POUR AND TAKES A SPECIAL HIGH FIRE GLAZE. WE WILL ONLY OFFER STONEWARE IN OUR WORKSHOPS AS A GROUP. YOU MAY SCHEDULE YOUR OWN GROUP WORKSHOP IF DESIRED!

Stoneware clay and glazes arrive in larger batches and are more expensive than our usual clay. Note the workshop cost is more expensive due to higher pricing volume and amount of glazes used.

NOTE STONEWARE USE: The benefit of using stoneware bisque is the  durability and functionality; it is dinnerware, microwave, dishwasher,  and oven friendly. For oven use we recommend that the ware be placed in a  cold oven, warming as the oven pre-heats. Then stoneware can be removed  from a hot oven, allowing to cool to room temperature. Avoid drastic  fluctuations in temperature (freezer to oven, or oven to freezer) to  prevent thermal shock within the clay body and glaze.
